The film "Citizen Kane" portrays a man that can be described by many figures in his life. The film starts off with Charles Kane being whisked away by a Mr. Thatcher and his parents "giving him away". We then go to Mr. Thatcher describing his encounters with Mr. Kane in journal. Mr. Kane portrays himself as a rich, and careless man who buys a newspaper company just for fun. His ambitions are portrayed as reckless. Mr. Kane seems ambitious beyond his ability. Next Mr. Thomspon visits Mr. Bernstein asking about rosebud's meaning. Mr. Bernstein discusses Charlies lifestyle within the inquirer as a employee of his. Mr. Kane is an energetic, charismatic, opinionated character. Next we meet Mr. Leland, a close friend of Charles who gives us a short synopsis of Charlie's love life. Describing the relationships between charlie and Emily, and Alexander. Kane lives a very uneasy and unappealing life.
This film is unique because scenes are changing from past, to future, and back to present. The film switches between characters learning about Mr. Kanes past. We discover much detail about Mr. Kane throughout different parts of his life. Each character has different experiences to share with the viewer.
